Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport , is located in Changning District and Minhang District, Shanghai, China [Note 1]. Of Shanghai’s two commercial airports, Hongqiao Airport is closer to the city, but it is small, serving only domestic flights to mainland China and some flights between Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Japan and South Korea.

Most of Shanghai’s international flights are handled by Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Currently, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, all international routes of Hongqiao Airport have been suspended or transferred to Shanghai Pudong International Airport, while only domestic routes have been retained.
