FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a single-speed and a dual-speed pump?
A single-speed pump always runs at full power. A dual-speed pump has a low-speed setting for energy-efficient, quiet heating and filtration, and a high-speed setting for powerful jet action when users are in the spa.

While HP indicates the motor’s power, true performance comes from the “wet end” design. A well-designed wet end paired with an efficient motor will produce stronger jet pressure than a poorly designed one with the same HP.

This is likely an “air lock,” where air is trapped in the pump’s wet end. You can typically resolve this by slightly loosening a union fitting on the pump’s discharge side to let the trapped air escape, then re-tightening it once water appears.
